Signal Processing: Detection & Estimation Theory
Wireless Communications, Ultra-wideband (UWB), OFDM, MB-OFDM, MIMO, Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN), Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN), Wireless Sensor Network (WSN).

I am a faculty member in the Department of Applied Physics, Electronics & Communication Engineering (APECE), University of Dhaka (DU), Bangladesh since September, 2005. I completed Ph.D. on Information & Communication Engineering in Inha University, South Korea in December, 2011. My Ph.D. topic was synchronization and channel estimation technologies for UWB systems. I received my M.S. and B.S. in APECE, DU in 2005 and 2003, respectively. My research field is signal processing (detection & estimation theory) in wireless communications in general and ultra-wideband (UWB) in particular. My e-mail address: smr.islam@du.ac.bd.
